We are very pleased to have secured the services of Dave Gawthorn as our professional Angling Coach, here at Chad Lakes. Dave is one of the country's most respected and talented anglers. Although an all rounder, for he has caught specimen fish of all species, he specialises in carp. Among many angling achievements he has won two British Carp Angling Championship titles and now he is prepared to share the secrets of his success with you.
Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or more experienced angler, Dave has something to offer you. After the benefit of his experience he will leave you in a stronger more competent position, enabling you to take on any angling challenge.
Tuition would cover the following areas:-
- Improve your technical skills - casting, spoding, feature finding and much more.
- Find out the benefits of using methods like PVA bags.
- Learn how to tie effective rigs and how they are used.
- Understand watercraft, fish behaviour and bait application.
This is the general starting format but Dave will be more than pleased to cover any subject that you may need help and advice with.
Tuition is tailored to your own particular requirements. Let us know what you would like, for example he will work with you on a one to one basis. Alternatively he would be more than happy to instruct a group. (For bookings of 6-8 people, Monday to Thursday, you would have exclusive use of the lake, ensuring total privacy.)
Dave Gawthorn in a fully qualified angling coach to JAGB Level 2. He is trained and qualified in first aid, has Public Liability insurance and has been CRB checked and cleared.
